Geology and the State of California Kit

Description

Another one of our great state themed kits. Designed with middle school through high school in mind, but it is a great family kit, too! 

Please note: We do not put a time frame on this study, as it is basically exploratory. If you intend it for high school credit, please consult your state requirements.

Please be aware that some of the books in the kit might have evolutionary references. We include them primarily because they have good information on features and locations.

This kit contains:

• The Roadside Geology of California 
• Patrick Nurre’s monograph covering the main geological features of California from a Biblical perspective (3-hole drilled)
• Rock Identification Field Guide by Patrick Nurre
• Gem Trails of California (book)
• 25 rock, mineral, and fossil samples

We may have to substitute different titles for the books listed above, according to availability. But they will cover  similar  material.
