Description
Genesis Flood Geology Day!
Fossils. Caves. Minerals & Gems. What can they tell us about the Genesis Flood?
Join us at the Geology Learning Center for a special day of exploring geology from a Biblical perspective!
And this won’t be just a day of listening to presentations. You’ll get to handle specimens, investigate geological processes, and participate in hands-on activities related to fossils, caves, minerals, and gems.
We’ll take a closer look at three fascinating subjects:
🦴 Fossils
How are fossils formed and preserved? What does the enormous number of fossils found around the world tell us about the past? We’ll examine real fossils and explore how rapid burial during the Genesis Flood could have produced the fossil record we see today.
🕳️ Caves
Caves are filled with fascinating clues about geology and the processes that shape our earth. We’ll explore how caves form, investigate stalactites and stalagmites, and consider what cave formations can tell us about the past.
💎 Minerals & Gems
Why do crystals form? What makes one mineral different from another? And how do ordinary minerals become beautiful gems? You’ll have an opportunity to examine real specimens and learn some simple ways to identify minerals.
Whether you already love geology or you’re simply curious about the world God created, this special day will give you an opportunity to dig deeper into the evidence and think about it from a Biblical perspective.
Come discover what fossils, caves, and minerals can teach us about the Genesis Flood!
