What a tremendous book!  This book takes a close look at the history of the geologic column and raises challenging questions as to its validity and the need for radical revision.  This is a tremendous resource for the serious student of science history.  Uniformitarian geology was the whole reason the Mosaic record, along with the Genesis genealogies, was thrown out in the mid 1800s.  This book sets the record straight!

The standard for the study of Geology and earth history during the 17th and 18th centuries was the Genesis account of the great worldwide flood.  This was known as Catastrophism.  It was held by most of the scientists of the day and was not replaced until Charles Lyell came along in the early 1800s.  Today there is a revival among many geologists to take a closer look at Catastrophism, albeit, without the Bible.  This book is a fascinating look at the Biblical account and its geological implications.  This has become my favorite book and it is exhaustive, well-written and authoritative.  I was personally acquainted with the late Dr. Henry Morris.  He was a fine man and his knowledge of geology and hydrology was encyclopedic.  Included with the book are 10 large samples of rocks, fossils and minerals that could have been formed by this most important geologic event in our history!
